Details: Each Year, YLES brings together the brightest students from all over Pakistan and the world to show case their entrepreneurial and leadership skills in a highly competitive environment. The students are pushed to their limits and are prepared to become leaders in a globally independent, culturally diverse and a rapidly changing economic environment, while fostering strategic thinking, innovative problem solving and sound decision making.
Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit (YLES) Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit (YLES) is LES’s flagship event, hosting around 1000 delegates from colleges, universities and high schools. A culmination of entrepreneurship, marketing, social innovation, and practicality, YLES is a platform that prepares Pakistan’s leaders of tomorrow, sharpens their leadership and managerial skills, and allows them to strengthen their planning, organizing and communication skills.

Eligibility:

  • Open to undergraduates from all countries
  • Each team must provide a bonafide letter of consent from their respective institution. The letter must be on the institutions’ official letterhead along with its stamp and the signature of the Faculty Advisor/Principal.All private teams must be currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution and must state their school names in the registration form or the team may not qualify for a successful registration.
  • Each delegate must at least be in O-level/Matric 1styear or Undergraduates (1st/2nd year only) to apply.
  • Each team must consist of 4-5 members.
  • Each team must compete in all 5 Business Events.

Benefits:

  • Accommodation:International Teams will be provided special Accommodation in the Rausing Executive Development Centre of LUMS. Each room offers the perfect environment for relaxation after a day full of learning and includes the following amenities: Central air conditioning, an attached bathroom, a mini fridge, Wi-Fi access and a 24 hour on site customer service representative.
  • Fee Waiver:Following expenditures will be fully funded by the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society for all international teams to register for YLES:
    – Event Participation Fee Total Event Participation Fee of Rs 31,500 per team will be completely waived off.
    – Accommodation Total Accommodation Fee of Rs.120,000 for rooms in the Rausing Executive Development Center of LUMS for four nights (26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2019).
  • Airport Transport and Local Transportation:
    – Participants will be provided pick and drop service from the Allama Iqbal International Airport to the Lahore University of Management Sciences on the day of arrival December 26th, 2019 and day of departure December 30th 2019.
    – International teams will be given an exclusive trip of old Lahore where they can visit and adore mughal architecture. In addition to this, LES can help arrange trips to other areas of Pakistan.

NOTE: The responsibility of the participant to obtain your own visa prior to departure from your home country. However, LES will issue a letter of invitation and any other related documents to facilitate the visa. Delegates will have to incur the cost of visa and air travel themselves.

Application process

First Step: Enter the First phase by Fill the registration form, then “Submit”.

Second Step: Follow the Registration Regulations:

  • First, teams must fill in the online registration form.
  • All fields must be filled in accurately.
  • Even for private teams, the institution name of each delegate needs to be mentioned.
  • Delegates’ pictures must be renamed to the names of the respective delegates.
  • No Facebook, Instagram or other social media pictures, as well as selfies, will be accepted.
  • Pictures should ideally be passport size with the face identifiable and front facing.
  • Any inappropriate pictures shall not be accepted. All pictures must be in jpeg. or png. format.

Third Step: Teams selected for phase two will be contacted through e-mail and phone. Each team will be required to send in:

  • Institution consent letter (not required for private team).
  • Photocopies of student ID cards/NIC.
  • A bonafide letter.
