Details: The Mission of Venterprises is to equip, acclerate, and support the progress of women and girls in pursuing their unique purposes. We help turn their dreams into realities. Venterprises, Inc. a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit Maryland corporation that helps women and girls pursue their dreams and life goals. We provide curricula, coaching, and support group structures that empower women and girls to achieve their life purposes. Our initial target market is the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are in the Growth phase of our business lifecycle, and have assembled a stellar working Board of Directors and a full-time Executive Director. We need more creative, dedicated volunteers working with us to support our growth and program expansion.

Job description:

Work under the direction of the Treasurer and Executive Director to:

• Help design an outreach strategy and campaigns that builds and leverages a database of potential corporate, nonprofit, and individual donors who are interested in and support our mission

• Use your knowledge of and experience with on-line communication and social media to design and field web-based target market surveys and market research tools

• Develop outreach content that provides regular high-value content, and drives funders to regularly engage with us

• Design and develop donor communications plans that extend long-term relationships

• Assist in company donor web site page design and testing

• Build and manage a donor database that integrates with our technology applications and platforms

• Expand our fundraising footprint by working with attorneys to file fundraising registrations in additional states

Eligibilities:

  • Interest in non-profit financial management and fundraising
  • College or graduate school student (rising juniors and above)
  • Strong academic record with significant education in and exposure to business and accounting basics
  • Creative solution-building mindset
  • Detailed understanding of and experience with data base development, marketing communications, web-based communications and research tools, and social media platforms
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze research data to form conclusions and recommendations
  • Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and ability to learn other applications as needed (e.g., Quickbooks)
