Canada International Model United Nations
Date: May 22nd-24th, 2020
Deadline: March 20th, 2020
Details: CAIMUN is one of the premier Model United Nations conferences in the nation and the first to facilitate international participants. CAIMUN 2020 is proud to offer a wide array of unique and novel features. Our comprehensive committees’ programme is sure to cater to delegates of all levels with its wide range of options.
For an individual delegate to attend CAIMUN 2020, they must either register as an independent delegate or with their school. In order to fulfill the latter, the delegate’s school must have registered itself with CAIMUN prior. After school, registration is completed, or a delegate wishes to attend independently, he/she may complete the individual registration form where they will pay fees, as well as select their committee and country/representative of preference. Within 72 hours of individual registration, delegates will receive an email confirming their committee and country assignment. As regular registerees, delegates will stay for three days and two nights at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. However, delegates may choose the “day delegate” option where they will arrive at the hotel in the morning, part in the evening, and return the next day.
As a conference based on accessibility and the facilitation of international participants, our goal is to pave the most comfortable path possible to attending CAIMUN. In partnership with Air Canada, we are pleased to offer a discount on all Air Canada flights to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) during the week of the conference to all delegations outside of the Lower-Mainland. Qualification for this discount will be automatically evaluated by the Secretariat after registration is completed.
