Details: Founded in 2012, Canada International Model United Nations (CAIMUN) is the premier Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Canada, annually hosting over 1000 participants from around the globe, including Malaysia, Venezuela, and all over Canada and the United States. Delegate Registration Overview:
A student wishing to attend CAIMUN must register as a delegate by completing the delegate registration form found above. On this form, delegates will pay registration fees, select their committees and countries/positions of preference, and provide additional information pertaining to their attendance at CAIMUN. Within 72 hours of submitting the delegate registration form, delegates will confirmation of their committee and country assignment and other vital information.
Attendance at CAIMUN as a delegate is open to all middle and secondary school-aged students.
Independent Delegates & School Delegation Attendance:
Delegates may attend the conference either with their school delegation or independently. If your institution will not be registering for CAIMUN as a school, delegates may attend the conference independently. If this is the case, please select “Independent Delegate” on the school selection dropdown list when completing the delegate registration form.
In order for delegates to attend the conference with their school delegation, their educational institution must have first registered as an attending institution at CAIMUN by completing the school registration process.
If your institution has yet to submit the school registration form, delegates are asked to please wait until the process is completed if they seek to attend the conference with their school delegation. If your institution has completed the school registration process, please select its name in the school selection dropdown list when submitting the delegate registration form in order to be placed with your school delegation. If you do not see your institution’s name on the form, please contact your Model UN club sponsor teacher or head delegate.
Rooming Policy & Day Delegate Information:
Students have the option of registering either as standard delegates or day delegates. Standard delegates will be accommodated for a two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency hotel over the duration of the three-day conference. However, whether due to financial restraints or cautionary action against COVID-19, students may opt to register as day delegates instead of standard delegates. Day delegates will arrive at the hotel in the morning and part in the evening following the end of each day’s conference events. With exception of hotel room accommodation, both standard and day delegates participate in the same, full conference activities and events for the weekend. The day delegate registration fee is reduced to reflect the exclusion of the hotel room accommodation. If you would like to register as a day delegate, please complete and submit the Day Delegate Registration Form found above instead of the standard delegate registration form. This option is likewise available for sponsor teachers and chaperones who would like to part the hotel in the evening with their delegation.
For a simple and affordable registration process, all rooming, whether for delegates or adult chaperones, is provided and managed directly through CAIMUN and is guaranteed upon registration.
